India is an agricultural country and 70% of the population is directly or indirectly engaged in agriculture. Still farmers cannot get timely information on agricultural and they are still engaged in agriculture by conventional methods. That is why there are very few farmers to adapt to the changing economic order to shield their income by increasing yields and increasing profits is to find.

To provide the latest information on agricultural and scientific manner and the pressing need to provide agricultural education is the only reason of establishment of SMRATI MAHAVIDYALAYA.
Mr “Satyendra Prakash Sharma” (Ex-Chairman Sugarcane Cooperative Development Society Ltd. Bhira, Block Pramukh-Bijua) “Manager” inspired from his wife social worker Ex-Pradhan Late “Mrs. Premlata Sharma” to providing quality education to future generations of agricultural, in this order in October 2008 the foundation stone of the college has been laid by the Jagadguru Swami Shankaracharya Shri “Rajrajeshwrashram” Ji Maharaj (Shardapith).
Too many problems occurred during the inception of college but while facing many problems remain steadfast like the Himalayas are striving to meet their objectives.
In July 2012 College receive permission from the university and has started teaching in Agriculture courses (BSc. Agriculture) and after some time also receive permission from the university in ART Stream and started the teaching work by qualified and experienced faculty.


Jagadguru Swami Shankaracharya Ji awarded the honour of “TARAI KE MALVIYA” to Mr “Satyendra Prakash Sharma” for his valuable work and dedicate to his everything to the society.
The college is located between Bhira-Palia roads, on Delhi-Palia Highway, and away about 63 K.M. form district Lakhimpur Kheri, and 85 K.M. from Shahjahanpur. Around the college have natural green valleys and beautiful environment where students can improve their Physical, mental, intellectual education.
Late Mrs “Premlata Sharma Smrati Mahavidyalaya Nyas” also established separated hostel for boys & girls where the perfect system for food and accommodation for students.
